Socio-Economic & Management

The development of infrastructure or industry may mean the displacement of communities from their roots. Displacement, resettlement and relocation may results in significant upheaval even breakdown of traditional social structures and cultures if sustainable social environment is not provided to the affected communities. BCL sociologists always study the adverse impact of any infrastructure planned and assess the extent of loss and damages in social sector and recommend appropriate mitigating measures to create a sustainable social environment for PAPs. They undertake SIA, RAP and SMAP to reduce the impact of social risks of projects.
