BCL as a member of the consortium of consultants led by HIFAB (Sweden) carried out the studies to mitigate environmental issues.
An EIA is carried out including Environmental Management Plan for the project road Chittagong-Cox’sb1azar-Teknaf Road under Sub Regional Transport Project Preparatory Facility funded by ADB. Environmental degradation due to hill cutting, disturbance of Elephant Pass at Ukhia in Technaf and potential impacts on cultural heritage were prime concern in designing stage.
