Feasibility study of Padma Bridge Project, Bangladesh

The largest bridge is under construction at approximately 40 kilometres south west of Dhaka city in the Ganges-Brahmaputra river basin of Bangladesh. It will bring connectivity of the south-western region to the rest of Bangladesh to encourage and facilitate economic growth through the transport of people, goods, natural gas and telecommunications. One of the largest bridge project in Bangladesh will be a two-level, steel truss bridge with a four-lane highway on the upper level and provisions for a single track railway on the lower level. BCL’s environmentalists involved in preparation of IEE, EIA and EMP as well LAP during the Prefeasibility and Feasibility phases of the project. BCL worked under a sub consultancy contract with NK(Japan).
