This 53km long 2 lane and 4 lane road section is a part of the Silk Highway. The original road was built in 1960-65 and needed rehabilitation/reconstruction and improvement. BCL was the Consultant for the survey, investigation & detail design, preparation of procurement documents, contract administration and supervision of construction/reconstruction of roads and drainage structures including the 267m long Kura bridge and four other bridges, rail overpasses etc. with 43.5 km as 2-lane and 8.5 km as 4 lane highway. Preparation of EMP, LAP and RAP under the financing by IsDB-OPEC.
