The project consists of detail design and construction supervision for improvement works of southern road corridor in Azerbaijan. Masalli-Astara Motorway is a 62 km 4-lane expressway of the M-3 highway corridor that links the capital city, Baku, to the south of the country and the town of Astara with Iranian border. The project having 29 bridges, a number of overpass and underpasses, and 86 culverts was implemented by Azeravtoyol OJSC in order to build an adequate, efficient, safe and sustainable road network linking the Republic of Azerbaijan domestically and internationally. BCL under a sub consultancy contract with Nippon Koei (LAC) provided the Team Leader, Resident Engineer and the Sr Pavement & Materials Engineer.
