The principal services currently provided encompass feasibility studies, site investigation, design, construction supervision, contract management and skill transfer and training.
BCL has experienced full-time staff of over 400 professionals and technicians. More than half of the staff has a university degree. The firm has access to additional resources and expertise through worldwide link to international consulting firms and universities, and through its own group organizations which include two international subsidiaries and the following special purpose set-ups in Bangladesh:
- CenTR, which stands for BCL Centre for Training and Research, is dedicated to continuing professional development and to carrying out development related applied research in the fields of company's business.
- Development Planning Associates are a subsidiary of BCL and are organized to provide specialist services in economic studies, social planning and management.
- Bangladesh Survey Organization Ltd is an affiliate specializing in survey and cartography and is the largest private sector organisation, in men and materiel, in its field in Bangladesh.
- BCL Soils and Materials Laboratory is a wholly owned set up and provide vital field and laboratory investigation support to the engineering services by the firm.
- BCL Computer Services assist in in-house computer application as well as engineer purpose-specific computerization to client's need.
BCL is a member of Bangladesh Association of Consulting Engineers and is registered with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and several other international development funding agencies.
